Passive stretching of
contracted muscles DVD made for MM's family. Partly as a result of complementary therapies, MM has recovered some control of his left side. See case study. |
Following an accident and injury to the brain, MM lost voluntary control of most of his skeletal muscles, which are still contracted. An osteopath demonstrated how the contracted muscles should be stretched to make them relax. The film was made to help MM's family recall precisely how and where the therapist used his hands and body when stretching and flexing various muscles. It has also enabled us to track his progress since then.12 min. |

MM is still unable to speak but is already able to blink and/or raise his thumb to say YES. This video was taken to monitor MM's attempt at pointing to letters and words on a chart. It shows his initial tentative attempts. Our aim is to record how he adapts to this important new challenge for him. |

Film of the 3rd Pamper Day
of the local breast cancer charity called Bosom Buddies. The
ladies were able to choose two free sessions from a range of
complementary therapies. Film still at version 1. |
My film gives a flavour of
the pamper day and provides personal accounts of how various therapies
had helped breast cancer patients cope with life during and after
treatment. Version1 was shown to a group of Reiki healers on
31 July 2008. The UK NHS, NICE and various Primary Care Trusts tend to act on the still limited and premature results of double-blind tests which have been forcefully advanced as scientific evidence against most complementary therapies. A different compelling perspective was provided by the convincing testimonies of ladies who had undergone surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This film puts their experiential evidence on record. The proof of the pudding should be in the eating. |

2007 - today's news: - some air, train & rail services suspended due to 70-90+ mph gales - high-sided lorries banned from motorways after some were blown over - floods, trees uprooted, roofs blown off - locally, walls with fencing blown down but only limited flooding of Rother near Spital Lane. |
| 25 Jun 2007 | Flooding in Eastern Chesterfield (being edited) | Widespread floods in Sheffield & surrounds, Hull, Yorkshire, Gloucestershire etc. Many homes were without clean piped water supply for several days. In Chesterfield, both Holllis and Crow Lanes into town were flooded. According to the Environment Agency's online flood maps, the flood in Chesterfield only had a 1:1000 chance of happening in any year. |
