Readings
cataloguePapa - General Reading - 14 July 1996
My father, aged 93, was now terminally ill. After a series of mini strokes, he had a stroke which had left him paralysed on his left side. He was feeble and bed-ridden in a care home. He was not expected to last very long and I anticipated that this would be the last time I would see him alive. It was a distressing time for the whole family. Death is inevitable and often comes as a blessing. This was my last chance to relate in a meaningful way to him but could not work out what I could do to make things easier for both of us

People usually have rich, untapped vents of resources which can now be called upon. Although the situation may not be what is immediately wanted, out of the morass will emerge something of greater value. Recognition of your gifts and abilities - rewards from authority (father in this case?)
The outcome
Largely true. Was a great help in coping with a difficult problem as described elsewhere. This was the second time that the Mah Jongg had given sound advice for my father. It had guided us previously in 1991.
